About This Course

This course is intended for registered Real Estate Salespersons who completed their education through the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) College and wish to enroll in the Broker Program. It is required only for applicants who cannot provide proof of completion of the Real Estate Law course. Upon successful completion of this course and fulfillment of all other Broker Program admission requirements, you will be eligible to write the Broker Qualifying Exam.

This course contains approximately 35 hours of study materials which you will have up to five months to complete from the date that you enrol in the course.

This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of real estate and lays out the role of a salesperson in relation to their obligations under the Trust in Real Estate Services Act, 2002 (TRESA) and its associated regulations, including the Code of Ethics. It also touches on other (non-TRESA) legislation.

Once you complete this self-paced online course, you will be able to purchase the 2-hour exam through Meazure Learning. The exam costs $120, payable directly to Meazure Learning.
