Statement of Work
Position Title: Facilitator(s) – Commercial Real Estate Training
Location: Virtual (within Ontario)
Reports To: Manager, Professional Training
Position Type: Independent Contractor
Expected Start Date: July 2026
Overview
Algonquin College is an approved education provider of the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), Ontario’s regulator of real estate services. We are seeking experienced facilitators for Simulation Session 2: Commercial Real Estate Transactions in the Real Estate Salesperson Pre-Registration Education Program.
Scope of Services
- Facilitation: Facilitate 3.5 days (24 hours total) Simulation Session 2: Commercial Real Estate Transaction for groups of 8-24 learners. If there are 12 or more learners, two facilitators will be engaged.
- Preparation and Delivery: Review the Facilitators Guide and all learning materials prepared by RECO so that you are fully prepared to facilitate each session from Day
- Learning Assessment: Track attendance in accordance with the Attendance Directive and provide constructive feedback throughout the session.
- Learner Support: Provide coaching and support to learners, addressing their queries and helping them understand course content in commercial real estate courses.
- Compliance: Adhere to Algonquin College and RECO policies and directives.
Qualifications
- Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate as a registrant with RECO.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial real estate experience.
- Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of Ontario’s real estate principles and practices, including the Trust in Real Estate Services Act, 2002 (TRESA), the Code of Ethics, and all other relevant legislation.
- Standing: Must be registered in good standing with RECO.
- Previous teaching experience in online facilitation and/or adult learning in real estate training is required. Completion of an adult learning facilitation course is required.

Onboarding and Training Requirements
- Onboarding Program: Completion of a facilitator onboarding program.
- Education: Completion of an adult learning facilitation course.
- Training: Completion of additional training specific to the facilitator’s role may be required.
